Middlesex County Bankruptcy Information - Cases, Judges and Trustees

Bankruptcy lawyer Marvin Wolf files Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases in Middlesex County to eliminate debt and stop foreclosures.

The Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey is divided into three areas.  Middlesex County bankruptcy cases are heard in the Bankruptcy Court at Trenton, New Jersey at the Clarkson S. Fisher U.S. Courthouse, 402 East State Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08608.   Trustee meetings or meetings of creditors for Middlesex County are held in Trenton, or in Robbinsville.

Judges:

The Bankruptcy Judges who preside over cases for Middlesex County are Judges Ferguson, Lyons and Kaplan.  However, in the majority of Chapter 7 cases, a debtor never needs to appear before a judge; most issues are handled by a panel Trustee.

Once you file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, your case will be automatically referred to a panel, and one of the Trustees from the panel will be assigned to your case.  Once assigned, the Trustee is in charge of that case until the case is over and the judge issues a release.   Some trustees have their own bankruptcy practices and file cases for other debtors, although they cannot hear their own cases.

If you file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in Middlesex County, your case is assigned the the Standing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee for the Trenton vicinage.  The current Standing Trustee is Albert Russo.  He or one of the assistants from his office will conduct your meeting of creditors.  He usually holds his trustee meetings in Robbinsville.  The Trenton vicinage covers several counties, including part of Burlington County (excluding the townships of Cinnaminson, Delran, Edgewater Park, Evesham [Marlton], Maple Shade, Moorestown, Mt. Laurel, Palmyra, Riverside and Riverton, which are treated as part of the Camden vicinage), Hunterdon, Mercer, , Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset and Warren counties

Marvin Wolf files bankruptcy cases in Middlesex County.  He files Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, and on occasion, Chapter 11 cases.  Marvin Wolf is a debt relief attorney and also practices consumer law and foreclosure defense.   He also coaches clients in debt settlement, when appropriate.

Bankruptcy Help:

You can use bankruptcy law to help you eliminate debt, stop creditors, stop foreclosures, stop lawsuits and garnishments.  Bankruptcy can help you keep your house and catch up on missed payments over time.   Sometimes bankruptcy is the only way to force mortgage companies to take your money, and help you out of debt.  I have two meeting offices, in Iselin and East Brunswick, New Jersey where I meet with Middlesex County bankruptcy clients.  I also have other meeting offices throughout the state.

My bankruptcy law office is registered with the New Jersey and New York courts to file bankruptcy cases electronically.   The lawyer's office is also registered to automatically receive electronic notices directly from the courts, so you can stay up to date on events in your case as they happen.
